Facts are facts. Opinion is opinion. The differences are very important in your assessment of the validity and utility of any news item or information video. Knowing the bias or inherent leaning of any video is essential to judging how useful the information is, and even how to use it. At U.S. DAILY RUNDOWN, we manually curate important information provided by diverse, multiple sources and provide it to our subscribers and viewers in an efficient, accessible format to save them time. We haven’t any hidden agenda – we simply serve the needs of busy individuals who desire information and insights.

We evaluate every video for you using a combination of Human intelligence and AI based upon five criteria. These are described below:

  1. Political Bias

   Categories:

   – Left: Video presents views predominantly aligned with left-leaning ideologies.

   – Right: Video presents views predominantly aligned with right-leaning ideologies.

   – Neutral: Video maintains a balanced approach, presenting multiple sides fairly.

   – N/A: No identifiable political content.

   Our Evaluation Steps:

   – Watch the video carefully, noting key themes and language.

   – Cross-check with external sources to determine ideological leanings, if applicable, and consider the AllSides Media Bias RatingsTM if available.

  1. Credibility Score (Percentage)

   – Assign a score between 0% (low credibility) to 100% (high credibility) based on the following:

     – Source Authenticity: Are claims supported by reliable and verifiable sources?

     – Author/Creator Expertise: Does the creator demonstrate knowledge and authority on the subject?

     – Transparency: Are sources cited? Is there disclosure of conflicts of interest?

     – Track Record: Evaluate the creator’s history of accurate and reliable content.

   Scoring Guidelines:

   – 90%-100%: Highly credible, well-researched, and reliable.

   – 70%-89%: Generally credible but with minor issues.

   – 50%-69%: Questionable credibility; requires verification.

   – Below 50%: Unreliable and lacks evidence.

  1. Viewer Popularity (Scale From 1 to 10)

   – Measure the video’s engagement and resonance with viewers using these factors:

     – View Count: How many people watched the video relative to the channel’s average.

     – Like-to-Dislike Ratio: Use viewer feedback as an indicator of reception.

     – Comments Analysis: Are comments predominantly positive or negative?

   Scoring Guide:

   – 1: Very low popularity (minimal views, negative feedback).

   – 5: Moderate popularity (average views, mixed feedback).

   – 10: Extremely popular (viral video with overwhelmingly positive engagement).

  1. Fact Checked (Yes, No, N/A)

   – Determine whether the video’s claims have been explicitly verified or fact-checked by:

     – Third-party fact-checking organizations.

     – Links or references provided within the video.

     – Independent research.

   Categories:

   – Yes: Claims are verified and supported by evidence.

   – No: Claims lack verification or are demonstrably false.

   – N/A: Video does not present claims requiring fact-checking.

  1. Production Value (Percentage)

   – Evaluate the video’s technical and creative quality as a percentage from 0% (poor quality) to 100% (professional standard) based on:

     – Visuals: Lighting, video resolution, and editing quality.

     – Audio: Clarity, sound design, and absence of technical glitches.

     – Presentation: Structure, pacing, and use of graphics or effects.

     – Creativity: Overall aesthetic appeal and innovation.

   Scoring Guide:

   – 90%-100%: Studio-level quality.

   – 70%-89%: High-quality with minor flaws.

   – 50%-69%: Decent quality but several noticeable issues.

   – Below 50%: Low production value, distracting flaws.

The above criteria are uniformly applied to all videos to ensure the integrity of the process.
